Van Der Valk Hotel Emmeloord

I was in the area for a short transit stay and really appreciated the excellent breakfast. There was a great variety of both warm and cold options that kept me fueled for the day. The room was spacious and had a nice seating area, which made relaxing easy. It was also comforting to have two bathrooms for my group, ensuring everyone had enough space and privacy during our stay.

The room was spacious, but I missed having a TV in both rooms.

Magnificent and brilliant location, in wide area. Based adjacent to a shore, central Emmeloord and a marina. Absolutely gorgeous fairly quiet room with a bath. Reasonable and great breakfast with plenty of food options.

Generous buffet breakfast with excellent variety.

Our room lacked a television, disappointing. The location of our room was quite far from the reception and dining areas. The dim bathroom lighting needed improvement, especially for personal care routines.

the service was good en the staff very kind. location close to highway is convenient if you travel. I liked the food and again the service in the restaurant. 'Ambiance' was better than expected.

I was more than satisfied

Quiet, rural setting. Excellent spacious rooms with French windows to seating area outside. Great staff, good atmosphere, first rate food on offer. No complaints but would be even better with a swimming pool.

The spacious room provided a comfortable atmosphere, with a large bed that ensured a great night's sleep. Breakfast excelled, offering an excellent variety of warm and cold options. I appreciated the responsive service during dining. The hotel also enjoys a calm location near a marina. The gym facilities were disappointing, with only a couple of outdated machines available. The staff were attentive.

The room was cold on arrivalo and did not het up until 10pm

The rooms and bathrooms are enormous and very well equipped. Good matresses. Very impressive facilities

Once again, the food in the restaurant was sub-standard. The heating in the room was switched off despite the -ve temperatures outside. Only after complaining to the reception did they explain I needed to look for the heater and switch it on myself.

Solid stay with some quirks

The hotel staff were really friendly, nice. Breakfast was tasty too, with a good spread. The gym leaves a lot to be desired though, not much in terms of equipment. The showers took a bit to figure out, sometimes hit or miss on the temp. Still, comfy room vibes overall!

the facilities are great, the room was nice and the bathroom is really good, the breackfast is really good and the restaurant for dinner is very good.

Remote location - situated in the polder (an area of reclaimed land from the sea) - therefore nights are very quiet (and dark outside the hotel grounds !)

Had to pay for WiFi - these days that should be free, considering the low cost to the hotel. (they have a high speed glass-fibre connection like most hotel establishments and many houses in the cities now)
